A challengingly simple game, Fuzzle for iPhone has managed to grow under our skin, as the app brought the gamer out in all of us. The game from CandyCane puts at your disposal probably one the most interactively challenging games for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

With Fuzzle, you control a set of colored balls as you move them around the screen to form a line of at least 5 balls of the same color and clear out the screen. Each ball needs a clear path to be moved from one location to the other, and each move that doesn’t clear out balls from the screen adds more balls to the board. Each addition is displayed for you to plan accordingly your next move, however, their placement is not, making the game even more interesting.

Milk Panic is the iPhone game that brings out the shepherd in you as you run around in a frenzy to squeeze the milk from the cows before they burst. Milk Panic is perhaps a little underrated as a game, since it doesn’t provide hours on end of game play, no clear strategy, but requires a fast-paced movement and continuous tapping. The object of the game is not however to make you waste brain power, but merely to relax you for shorter periods of time.

In Milk Panic, you play your part as the milk-gathering shepherd that is in charge of keeping your herd alive as the cows are hungrier than ever and eat away at the green-fresh country grass. Your task is to look out for all of the six cows as they eat grass and wait for you to do your your milk-gathering duties. Beware, if you can’t get to the cows on time to gather the milk, they burst and you loose important “crop.” Pay attention to their size and the red bar indicator next to each of them that lets you know in good time when it’s time to pay them a visit. Your task isn’t easy, as once in a while you milk bucket gets filled and you have to empty it in the bigger container.

LiquidLite is the app that lets you turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a sea of waves that flow according to your movements. The app lets you play Poseidon (the Greek God, considered as Master of the Sea) as you are in control of your own little sea. Well, more like a pond.

To start the liquid flow, tilt your iPhone or tap its screen and watch the waves start to roll. One of the improvements the app brings is in the control of the liquid, as you can drag your finger through it, as you swipe across the screen, creating water waves. The app also makes use of pressure points and intensity, as the harder you swipe or tap the screen, the bigger the waves you create.

Did you know that chewing a gum while cutting onions can help a person from producing tears? Or that cats cannot taste sweet things? Or that we are basically color blind when we’re born? Well, neither did we until we came across this fun and useful iPhone app that at the tap of the screen gives you one of over 6500 cool facts about anything from human beings to animals, plants, the Earth, history or geography.

The idea behind the app is simple. The user is served one cool fact he wouldn’t otherwise know about from a pretty comprehensive database of over 6500 interesting entries. The facts span over a pretty wide array of areas, ranging from history, biology, astrology, human life, animals and consumer goods. By tapping the iPhone screen, CoolFacts displays another random fact, funny, interesting, stunning or simply things to make you go “Get outta here!” or “That’s the craziest thing I’ve heard!” Navigation is pretty basic and simple. CoolFacts allows the user to either tap the screen, swipe in any direction or simply shake the device to get the next cool fact.

Weave your way out of the maze with UnblockMe

UnblockMe comes straight to your iPhone and challenges you to a few rounds of head-banging on hard-wood bricks as you try to crack the code and squeeze through a set of blocks that slide dependent on each other’s movements. The app provides you with countless hours of play packed with both enjoyment and frustration at the same time.

Your task is to steer the red block through the maze, by moving and sliding the other blocks on the screen, so as to clear the way towards the exit, on the right-hand side. The movements are simple, just slide the blocks up, down, left or right to free up your way for the red block to go on undisturbed towards the exit. After last weeks night spent teasing our brains with BrainTeaser, we challenged our testers again with another puzzle game, only this time their task seemed somewhat easier for the first ten or so levels. The app features two game apps, Relaxed and Challenge. In Challenge mode, the app keeps track of all your moves, and, of course, the less, the better, the smarter you feel.

Take the BrainTeaser challenge

A regular puzzle mania hit our test team when they downloaded from the Appstore Uwe Meier’s BrainTeaser iPhone app. BrainTeaser definitely challenges you, and if you were looking for a fun and relaxing iPhone game, you can forget it.

The concept behind the game is simple enough for a toddler to understand. Tap one square on the iPhone, and it will flip changing its color and the color for all its neighboring squares. Your goal is to recreate the pattern BrainTeaser shows you in the bottom-left corner of your iPhone before the time expires.

The solutions to the puzzles are not as simple though.Think of it as playing chess, where you would think a couple of moves ahead of your opponent. With BrainTeaser, you are your only opponent, so you have to think ahead of how the pattern will look like 2-3 moves ahead for the harder puzzles on the higher levels and plan your strategy accordingly. The update gives users the option to disable the time-race, but your scores will not be added to the Hall of Fame.
