Before you had alarms and reminders on your phone, and way before there were all these To-Do apps to help you keep your schedule organised, there were post-its. Post-its were, and I think for some of us still are, one of the simplest and most practical way to help us remember the tasks and important events in our day to day life. But it was also time for the classic post-it to grow. That’s how Post-It Plus was born.

Post-It Plus is your virtual platform, where all your post-it reminders can find a cosy, modern home, where you can easily spot them every day. Instead of sticking post-its all over your fridge, or other places you find easy to spot, try Post-It Plus for a change. No more post-its all over the place, no more littler, no more wasted time trying to find that pen or pencil you always somehow manage to misplace.

Apps And Games Turn (RED) To Help The Fight Against AIDS

By Maria Poeana   November - 26 - 2014    See more Apps inApp Reviews   No Comments

A good game can sometimes make your day better, and help you forget all the trouble that’s been bothering you. A good app can help you work faster, be more productive, help you, and your children learn new things every day. And you can find both, anytime, in the App Store. But besides supporting good apps, and games, Apple also supports causes through the App Store. So, starting this week, and until the 7th of December, making in-app purchases or buying some of the most popular games and apps will bring you more than just the pleasure of using them. This will also give you the opportunity to be part of something bigger. To actively contribute to a cause. Because all the money put into these purchases and in-app purchases will contribute to raising more funds to help the fight against AIDS in Africa.

Dumb Ways to Die 2 icon

It was my 14 year old sister who convinced me to download the first Dumb Ways to Die game. I had a feeling it was going to be really, really dumb, but I wanted to make her happy. And, surprisingly, playing the game made me happy. And Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games was an even bigger, better surprise.

Ups: Dumb Ways to Die 2 is pure fun. You probably won’t last longer than a couple of minutes per game, so it’s not time consuming. The challenges get harder, because the pace of the game gets faster as you keep on playing, but that doesn’t make it annoying. The graphics are funny. The challenges are even funnier, if you like a bit of dark humor once in a while. And with this sequel, the first game only got better. It’s still arcade, but now you have all sorts of stages you can try, each one with its original challenges. Go to Freezerville for ice cold [...]

Things is probably one of the most popular Productivity apps. If you ever looked for a good reminder app, then you surely came across Things. And if the price seemed to be the only inconvenience, you should be happy to know that Things is now totally free of charge. This week only, though. Because it is App of the Week in the App Store.

Things is a Productivity app that gives you all the tools you need to keep all your To Dos in order, so you can make sure you never forget important tasks, household chores, birthdays or whatever else is important to you. Things organises your disorganised chores into a well-built task list. It’s intuitive, and extremely easy to use. Select from the menu whether you want to add a new task, or a project. Tap on the “+” button. Write down all the necessary details you need for the task, and you’re done.

Keezy is a new, creative, and fun app that is meant to bring a bit of music into your daily routine. It’s extremely easy to use, and intuitive. Just pick a Sound Board out of the list, and start goofing around by tapping on the differently colored squares on the screen. Each square makes a different sound, just like the keyboards of a piano. Go through 15 Sound Boards, each one with its pack of unique, and amazing sounds.

And don’t stop at playing with the Sound Boards others created. You can create your own eight-piece Sound Board, with any sound you can imagine and would like to include. Just tap on the Microphone icon on a colored square, and start recording. Your voice. A sound. Whatever you can think of. Want to record another voice or sound? Tap again on the same square to stop that recording [...]

Vainglory icon

Instead of playing King’s newest Candy Crush duplicate this week, Vainglory is a way better choice. It’s also a strategical, and intense time waster. But it’s a bit more complex than matching same colored items.

Ups: Vainglory is impressive right from the start, because of its graphics. They are complex, beautifully executed, and guaranteed to make you feel like you’ve actually stepped in a fantasy battle field. Vainglory is a typical strategy game, where your main task is to defeat the opposite army, while clearing quests, and constantly upgrading your hero. It’s a battle-based game, where the team that defeats the opposition’s base first, wins.

First, you need to pass a basic training, where you will learn all about the controls, and get a bit of battle exercise. Then, you can continue practising in Solo Mode, with whatever hero you [...]

If you are a fan of endless runners, take pleasure in playing Super Mario-like sort of games, and have enjoyed playing Jetpack Joyride, then you might already be vigorously playing Monster Dash. But, in case you haven’t heard about it, or haven’t got to buy it by now, then you’re in luck: Monster Dash is currently the App of the Week in the App Store, so you can download it totally free of charge this week.

Monster Dash is an endless runner that will probably remind you of Super Mario. It’s got retro graphics. Some of the monsters are pretty similar to the ones in Super Mario. And jumping on top of them will have the same effect it did when you made this move as Super Mario: they’ll tumble and fall. But, with Monster Dash, you also get guns, zombies, and a little more incentives to play the game for countless hours than just the glory of [...]
