How Fast iPhone App Review.

For those thrill seekers out there, LeapingFrogs came up with a clean little iPhone app that displays the speed at which the vehicle you're on is traveling. How Fast requires an iPhone with a 3G connection, for best results.

By using location capabilities from your iPhone, How fast can calculate the current velocity and to display it, it uses a very readable speedometer on your screen. Easy to use, easy to understand. But pretty low on functionality. There's basically just one thing you can do with this app: see how fast you're going. There are a few options that come to mind, options like saving speedometer readings for later comparison, or, to give it a funny angle, funny comparisons between your speed and various vehicles (train, bus, car or space shuttle).

The iPhone app relies on the signal strength at a given location, to provide it with location updates. The faster the updates, the more accurate the reading. It's however a given that these readings are for entertainment purpose only.

Given that the app is free to download in the App Store, there's no reason why not to give it a try, but would How Fast an app I would actually keep and use? Maybe not.
