Aesop Period Pace App Review

Over the past few months I've seen a number of apps along this line so I was intrigued to see if this version might be one that might beat the rest - none so far had hit the nail on the head, as you say.

The purpose of the app is to allow you to track, in as little or as much detail as you wish, your period and ovulation cycles. And what's great about this app is that you don't get the feeling that only scientists can operate it.

The simple to use and understand interface hits you from the home page - with today's twitter-like minds it's growing more and more important to be able to read, assess and conclude in very little time and the home screen of this app fits that bill completely. Then, if you wish, you can delve into the background detail and view the information inputted in a variety of ways depending on what is important to you.

I really liked the use of a consistent colour system throughout the app - you know what red, green and blue reflects quite quickly and those colours and meanings apply throughout. I also like that they have kept the data input very simple - there's multiple items you can input (from temperature on a day to your own personal notes), but the app developers have thought about how to allow you to enter the data quickly and without complicated math.

And all the above is without upgrading to the Prime version. The Prime version adds even more to your experience; utilizing your data over a long period, allowing you to email your data to your doctor and more. With Prime you can also safely back-up your data.

The only point I would make about the app is that it assumes you've already done all the reading on how to best track your ovulation cycle (e.g., when and how to take your temperature). It would be great to have the app associated with an information source for those completely new to this area, but for me this wasn't essential as I've done the reading and just needed the functionality the app offers.

This is one of those apps that is time related so I will check back in in a few months and let you know how it goes over time, but for now, if you're looking for an app like this I strongly suggest you check this one out.
