If it’s a challenge you wanted, then it’s challenge you’ll get. How about taking on a physics-based game where you have to guess the shape of a hidden object by the way other objects interact with it? Sound interesting enough? Well, Phantom Probes is just what you want!

Once you start the game, you will have to select one of three available probes from the top of the screen. Once you’ve done so, the probe will approach your hidden object, so far represented by a circle. Once it hits the object, you can rotate the circle in order to better understand what shape you’re dealing with.

New probes will continue to hit your object, but you can also change the probe itself by making your selection from the top of the screen.

Once you’re sure you’ve guessed the shape of the hidden object, just select it from the three possible answers at the [...]

Knowledge is power, a wise man said. And what better way to gain more knowledge than to learn about your surroundings and your interests? Of course, there are various ways you can do this, but if you want to start locally and go global, then Hyper Facts can get you started.

Hyper Facts is a convenient and useful way to search for facts about famous people, works, topics, events or places right from your iPhone. In my opinion, the most useful feature was the interactive map that showed hyper facts around your location.

Once you start the app, go to the Nearby tab and allow the app to use your current location. It will then display a Google Map and plot pins around your current location. The pins represent either a location, an event that took place at that location, a famous person that was born there, among some other bits and pieces of [...]

Vitamin C Cravings? Go Crazy Bunny!

The graphics and idea recommend it as a children’s game. The puzzle component makes it suitable for adults. The truth is Crazy Bunny has a little something for everybody and I wholeheartedly recommend it to you.

To put it simply, in Crazy Bunny you have to feed the rabbit carrots. You see, it needs to be 5150ed (that is, committed to a mental facility) because of its vitamin c craze. So how do you feed it carrots? Things are not as easy as they seem.

Crazy Bunny is a physics game. At the start of each level, your bunny is up on a pile of bricks, while the carrot is trapped in block of ice underneath the bricks. Some of the bricks can be destroyed, some cannot. The trick is to destroy all the bricks, while making sure that the rabbit will fall onto the ice carrot, thus eating it, but not land on bare ground.

Dubbing itself the official app for the foodie, CMenu wants to put you in charge of your food adventures. With CMenu you get to “C” the restaurant menu before actually going to a restaurant. Explore everything from the different dishes to their prices and what others have said about it. That makes your decision to actually go there much easier.

While the most useful feature of CMenu seems to be the restaurant lookup, there’s a bunch of other things that you can do. You can search for what restaurants are nearby by name, location or type of cuisine. I really loved this feature, since I can always think of what I want to eat (Italian, Asian, etc), but can never figure out where to go to get it.

Once you discover a restaurant you like, express yourself. Take pictures, write short reviews, bookmark the location for future reference, right from [...]

Ah, puzzle games! Love ‘em! Hate ‘em! Both at the same time. That’s the beauty of the genre. I confess. I’m a puzzle-games addict. No doubt about it. Whenever a new one comes along, I jump at the opportunity to play it and usually stick with it for a long, long while. Thankfully, the App Store has no shortage of great puzzle games. It seems like ever other week I review another one. This time, this one though, is special. Or could be special. Introducing Joe Versus, a unique 3D action puzzler.

This may very well be a pretty complex description of the rules in Joe Versus, but, due to reasons I will explain later on, I had some problems understanding the mechanism. In Joe Versus, you play Joe (or his daughter Olivia or her cat) and you’re up against an alien that has intercepted your ship on a mission for the sun. He threatens to destroy the galaxy [...]

Should I wear blue or green? Should I buy a hamburger or a steak? What dog should I adopt? It seems like everyday we’re bombarded with these mundane decisions. And most often than not the decision takes longer than deciding what country to attack next. The more mundane the situation, the longer we need to make a decision. That’s wasted time right there! Thankfully, there’s an app for that as well. It’s called Help Me Decide and guess what, it helps you decide.

Before getting into the juicy details, I should say that Help Me Decide is an entertainment app. You shouldn’t take it seriously or rely on it as some kind of all-knowing, omnipotent oracle.

What Help Me Decide does is randomly pick one of the options that you feed to it. The first step to getting the app to do its job is to enter the options you’re faced with in your current situation. A good example [...]
