The App Store featured this week in its Top 10 Free Apps one pure pick-up-and-play funny game that’s already in user favorites. The shiny cartoonish colors, incredibly pretty audio and the social networking integration tool have made Badaboo one game that’s hard to put down once you pick it up.

Similar to Fuzz Friend, in Badaboo you have a big round bouncing ball with two cute eyes, which they call a Bada, that you have to flick around the screen with your finger. You have a target to flick at as well: seven Boos – similar bouncing balls with just one eye and that change color from red to blue and yellow each time they are hit with the Bada. Now, I’m not much of a wine connoisseur, but the iPhone app from WineEnthusiast.com certainly provides me with the facts, figures and reviews to be able to pick up on some of the specifics of wines across the world. Wine Enthusiasts Guide is certainly the iPhone application to keep around to help you choose, evaluate and enjoy wine.

When you start up the app, you’re taken straight to the wine guide screen. The app itself is divided into five screens, to set you on your path. You can search for a specific wine within set parameters, add a specific wine to your favorites list, choose to experience a true vintage taste or get references as wines in general. It’s been a while since an iPhone game designed for youngsters appealed to us as well, so much so as to have a full-fledged review on it. Old MacDonald is such an iPhone app designed for children aged 2 to 8 by parents of youngsters. The game is primarily designed to build preschool spelling skills and animal recognition, but it’s funny and interesting puzzle games will widen the attention span and build fine motor skills.
