RabbitDash iPhone Game Review.

It’s fast! It’s white! It’s white! Is it a plane? Is it a bird? No, it’s RabbitDash! Race in this faster-than-fast game in a historic battle between the rabbit and the tortoise. Jump and kick your way through Ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and Switzerland. It’s the race of a life-time.

How to play?

There are no options to set. No tutorials to learn and no special moves to get used to. Just press play and you’re off. Jump using the lower-left button, kick using the lower-right button. You’re going to be racing on building-tops, so you’ll need to master the art of jumping and double-jumping to get from one roof to another. Don’t fall or it’s game over.

And you know, it wouldn’t hurt to collect items along the way. RabbitDash features a handful of power-ups such as the hear item (one extra life), star item (become invicible), clover item (shrink in size and jump further) or the speed item that lets you burst through the stage by extending your jump capabilities.

With all these power-ups what’s to stand in your way? Well, there’s the little “robotrons” that will eat up a life if you get in touch with them. How to get rid of them? Well, you can jump over them or kick them to oblivion and get more points.

Controls

While there isn’t a big list of available combos out there, there are a few you need to master. Double jump by tapping twice on the jump button. Hint, you can jump once and jump again if you think you’re not going to make it across the gap. Execute a kick right after a double jump and you get one extra jump. A lot of the game will take place in the air in this way, so you’re going to often come to wonder what’s underneath you. Will you land on safe ground or fall to your doom? The answer is you need to find out for yourself.

This game brought memories of my PC gaming days with Jazz Jackrabbit. I loved that game to death and there’s a chance I’ll have similar feelings for RabbitDash as well. Its smooth and fluid Graphics, easy to master controls and beautiful 3D characters surely recommend it.
