No matter how many tower defense games I play, I can’t help but spend half my day playing the next one I pick up. Crossroad Defenders is one such game that you might think is disappointing if you were to judge by the AppStore screenshots. But you’ll need to take my word for it. It will not let you down! The game excels at getting out of the way and letting you implement your defenses quickly.

Crossroad Defenders is darn easy to pick up and it definitely has one of the slowest learning curves I’ve seen in a game on the iPhone. As soon as you start a mission, minions begin to rush through the path and you must be quick to build towers to stop them fast and early. There’s a pause button, but I haven’t had to use it yet. Supposedly, if you’re overrun, you can pause the game and strategize.

The game has a major advantage in that it lets [...]

Join Retrobot In His Heroic Adventure To Save The World

It’s not a classic shooter and it’s not a comic book. It has a little bit of both, but put together in a way that will appeal comic-book fans and gamers alike. Retrobot is at its core a tank shooter game set in an era where robots have taken over the world and humanity is in peril. The theme might sound familiar, but the game itself is sprinkled with comic book scenes and centered around our hero and a pet monkey.

The gaming itself is not something entirely attractive. All you have to do is control the little Wall-e like robot by going backwards or forward, all the while shooting at targets both above and in front of you. You have two controls basically. A slider for forward/back movement and a directional pad for the shooter, which I suggest you always keep shooting with. You won’t run out of ammo, don’t worry.

But what truly amazes [...]

Just how good a baseball player do you think you are? Now, there’s an easy way to find out. And you don’t have to pay a dime for it. Just download Wannabat from the AppStore and put your baseball skills to the test. Whether you feel like a rookie or a pro, Wannabat will definitely get you in a baseball playing mood.

Wannabat is a fun, simple game, where you take turns pitching and batting. Now, you don’t have the whole team behind you, but you do get three strikes and you’re out. There’s also three chances (each with three strikes) to score a point. And if you don’t know how to score a point in baseball, no worries, I had no idea before playing this game either. With every successful swing at the incoming ball, you get a certain distance, depending on how accurate and timely you hit it. That distance is converted into how many bases [...]

When you say word game, you say Scrabble. Struggling to find the right word using random letters in front of you, plus the ones on the board, has proven to be the most popular word game ever. Even more popular than the classic Hangman. And now, there comes a new word gaming challenge. This is Elongate, and it will make your mind work just like a dictionary. Grab it from the AppStore today, and put your mind to the test with Elongate.

When it comes to word games, you could say Elongate is more similar to the classic Hangman than to Scrabble. Only that with Elongate, you are given the first two or three letters of a word, instead of the first and last letters. To make a long story short, you are given prefixes which you must use to form as many words as possible. It’s the perfect training before a Scrabble session. And it will actually [...]
