Avid crossword puzzle addicts ahoy! Dictionary.com launched a new iPhone app that’s meant to give you a helping hand in solving those crosswords that have your head spinning. Crossword Solver Agent X Word uses Dictionary.com’s proprietary technology and semantic search to give you real-time answers and hits to your crossword. They claim to have reach over two million crossword hints and puzzles that are updated daily, but what’s really catchy about it is that the iPhone app will collect clues that people are searching for everyday, therefore understanding trends and recognizing current events.

I’m not sure exactly how it works, or rather why it works as it does. When you launch the app, you’re greeted by Agent X Word, and you have to feed him clues and he’ll give you answers. A clue is defined as the [...]

The AppStore just got their own MythBusters and Braniacs as Cramzy launched a video-based iPhone app that teaches you some really cool experiments you can do in your own home with very little cost to your wallet. The app released just last week includes 14 experiments along with step-by-step instructions that are designed to teach users more about physics and chemistry.

The good thing about these experiments is that you won’t put the house on fire and you don’t have to be a regular Einstein to do it. Most of the experiments use household appliances or items you can buy at your local store. The developers of course warn against hazards and will provide you with important safety precautions for each experiment you want to do.

When you open up the app, you get a list of the 14 experiments on the right hand side [...]

The Case Of Sherlock Holmes Mysteries For The iPhone + FREE PROMO CODE

With the recent release of Sherlock Holmes by Guy Ritchie came the launch of the official iPhone game from WarnerBros. That is not to say that the AppStore had a shortage of detective stories and mysteries, or that Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson weren’t already present on iTunes. The movie was out on the 25th of December in the US, the game came out on the 5 days earlier across the AppStore. Of course that would be an eye catcher right there. The character looks very realistically Robert Downey Jr. and sure enough Watson was an animated Jude Law. So you might be wondering if the game profited from the release of the movie, or better yet, if the movie profited from having the game released before hand.

The two are not alike (+1), but the movie is better in more ways than one (-1 for the iPhone game). But be prepared to [...]

This one’s a beauty! A true action-packed adventure shooter right on your iPhone with Guerrilla Bob. Phenomenal graphics and incredibly fast-paced game play cast this game as one of the greatest action games for the beginning of 2010.

In Guerrilla Bob you fight as the fearless mercenary as he makes his way out of desert canyons, dangerous towns and the hordes of enemies that will flow towards you, all wanting but one thing: your guts on a silver platter. But not if you can help it. You have at your disposal one kick-ass arsenal of devastating weapons to wreck havoc.

Bob is apparently in personal vendetta to kill every man standing. The plot line goes on to be a bit Chuck Norris like, with Guerrilla Bob stopping a nuclear strike that would have taken out all the baddies in one shot, only to not be denied the [...]

I’ve seen my share of scanner-type apps in the AppStore, with most of them being just spoof iPhone apps (X-Ray scanners, fingerprint scanners to name a few), and others just being able to capture data as a photo that’s not much different than the iPhone’s Camera app. Today, I’m introducing a new kind of app to you. An app that lets users take a picture of any document (scan it if you will), and take the process to another level by letting you fill it out, sign it and even email it as a PDF document. All right from your iPhone or iPod Touch. This is Touch-Fill-Go.

With Touch-Fill-Go, you take charge of managing even the most routine forms and documents you need to fill out on a daily basis. Be it a t work, or at home, health forms or school forms, even the simplest time card can be done seamlessly right on your iPhone. [...]

That’s simple. All you need is a Facebook account, an iPhone and iLoader. So have your iPhone ready and your Facebook credentials at hand, cuz you’re in for a treat with iLoader, the iPhone app that gets you uploading your camera roll pictures to Facebook in no time.

The basic idea behind iLoader is this: you’re always on the move, you snap pictures of your friends everywhere you go, and you’re a Facebook addict. iLoader is here to bridge the gap between your Camera Roll and your Facebook albums.

Open up iLoader and you’ll get taken to your Camera Roll. Notice that the app seems to be non-existent. It’s a minimalist design that really works. From the home screen, simply tap the pictures you’d like to share on Facebook and they’ll be seamlessly added to an upload queue. When you’re done with the selection, tap on “Done” [...]
