Don’t let its name fool you! Christmas Gift is not a Christmas shopping list app. Instead, the app lets you create beautiful winter-white Christmas cards from available pictures in your Camera Roll or even take one on the spot that you can edit and send to friends and family.

If you were looking for a unique card to send to your friends, something they can easily relate to and possibly remind them of you, the card sender and their friend, then Christmas Gift is a great choice.

Open up the app, and you have two options. You can either take a picture on the spot or choose one from your Photo Library. Once you’ve chosen a picture, all you have to do is start blowing on your iPhone to create a frosty border around it.

The free version stops here, but your card is not yet ready. For additional options, you need to purchase their Gift Bag [...]

In Liberty Wings you take control of of a World War II air fighter as you make your way through enemy fire coming from both air planes and ground units such as tanks, anti-aircraft guns or boats and carriers. The intro to the game is rather short, so you’re put in the pilot’s seat pretty fast, without too much of the story line being explained to you. As you complete missions, you find out that your mission is to take down all elements of the Nazi Atom Bomb Project.

The first level of the game will surely throw you off. At first, the game will appear to be just like any other arcade space shooter game. All you do is move the airplane sideways as it auto-fires at incoming enemy planes. The first level is also pretty easy and shouldn’t take you more than a couple of minutes to go through.

However, don’t get down on this [...]

A fun game for all ages, Cheese & Mouse aims to challenge the concept of Whack-a-Mole in a rapid-style arcade game for the iPhone. The purpose of the game is simple. You’re the cat and you’re entrusted to protect the block of cheese from the mice that will try to eat it.

Controls are pretty straight forward and the game does a great job at alerting you of the different types of mice you’ll encounter at each level. The mice will come out of the different wholes in the cheese and you have to touch them as they appear in sight before they disappear back in the hole. Regular mice go down with one blow (simply touch them as they come out of the holes). Then you have the bigger mice claw-proof helmets and these will take two blows to take down. Another type of mice is completely blow-proof, so you’ll have to drag them out of the cheese instead of hitting [...]

escape the room 2 iphone game review

I’ve been dying to play such a game for a long time. I haven’t seen something similar to this since Sherlock Holmes, but where Sherlock Holmes fell short, Escape The Room 2 thrived. We’re looking at an adventure-puzzle-mystery game, where all you have to do is get out of the room you’re in. If you can! You have to use your wits, a keen eye for details and your intelligence to find out all the clues, break all the codes and ultimately find the key to the locked door that leads out of the room.

As soon as you fire up the game, you’ll be presented with a short intro video, first-person view. You can’t make out too much from it, except that you’ve been through some sort of ordeal, your chest hurts and you’re borderline unconscious. The next sequence puts you in the first room (Room 0), and a cute girl comes and explains that [...]

Dare To Go Retro With This Retro-Style iPhone Game

By Bogdan Lazar   December - 21 - 2010    See more Apps inApp Reviews, Games & Entertainment   No Comments

If you’re looking for an addictive game to play this Christmas, then you’ve come to the right place. Daring Racoon is one such beauty, a pretty simple adventure game featuring over 60 challenging and not-so challenging levels, 2D retro-style graphics and sounds. The game doesn’t require much mental engagement, but does guarantee excitement along the way.

The game is structured as a vertical maze comprised of platforms and ladders. You need to find your way from the bottom of the screen to the top of the maze, while collecting all the fruits, ice-creams, sandwiches and other food items you may find without getting eaten alive by the snakes and bugs or falling from one platform to another.

The bad guys are not that cunning. They basically move sideways across the screen (either left-right or up-down) at the same speed. This gives you the [...]
