iBowl iPhone App Review.
SGN brings the bowling alley in your living room with its iPhone app iBowl. Similar to Wii style of bowling, iBowl uses the iPhone's built-in accelerometer to create a more realistic user experience. You can now use your wrist, swing with added effect, do it with style or with speed. Either way you choose, iBowl gives you the ultimate bowling experience right in your living room, making it as realistic as possible.
iBowl is Wii style bowling on your iPhone. Using the built in accelerometer the iPhone can now be used to bowl. But what makes this game stand out is the way you control your bowling ball. To bowl in iBowl, simply drag your ball to position it wherever you want on the alley, and, when ready, hold down the “BOWL” button in the middle of the screen, and this is where the fun begins. When you're holding it down, you're virtually in complete control of your bowling ball. Be a professional, do it with style. Take those three steps forward, use your wrist to embed that desired effect and swing the iPhone towards the pins. Don't forget to let go of the "BOWL" button at the right time, and watch how the bowling ball rolls down towards the pins giving you that strike that makes you yell out.
iBowl will give both bowling-enthusiasts and beginners hours of fun, whether you're playing it alone or with a friend. The game is available for free in the Appstore, making it even more attractive for those that simply want a taste of the old bowling alley. With the game, you get a choice of bowling alleys, each coming with differently-styled balls.
We'd recommend dedicating a couple of feet of clear living room space, eventually a surface with added shine for a nice slide and a perfect swing. If you're playing against a friend, then just clear out the whole living room and go crazy swinging away for that strike. Just a friendly advice though. Be careful with those awesome swings of yours, as letting your iPhone slip from your hand would be the end of all things, including this great game from SGN.
