Building A Brick Puzzle Sounds Better Than Ever

Children probably make the toughest crowd. Because, although it's pretty easy to attract their attention, keeping them focused for more than a couple of minutes requires some sort of magic. Especially when you're dealing with small children. But you'd be surprised what simple things get them mesmerized. Even though I'm not a kid, I was when I put BeBop Blox to the test.

What is BeBop Blox

BeBop Blox is a pretty simple, yet effective educational app. The goal is for your child to form all sorts of shapes using bricks. Nothing revolutionary here, so at this point you might think he'd be better off using actual bricks to do so, instead of some silly app. But, somehow, BeBop Blox makes this entire experience better.

First of all, because you have all these sounds following your child's every step. Congratulating him when he's right, and encouraging him when he's wrong. Plus, all the beautiful colors, and funny looking characters guiding him in this quest. And the puzzles themselves make it really easy for your child to discover all sorts of different shapes.

Take things one step at a time

Instead of having to build a six-piece puzzle from scratch, BeBop Blox is all about taking one step at a time. The puzzles are made up of differently shaped bricks. And it would probably be hard for a child to match them all at once. So, the game first requires him to find just a couple of pieces on the board to fill the empty spots. Then, another empty slot appears on the screen. And another, and another, until step by step, without even realizing, your child has solved the entire puzzle by filling all the empty spots with the matching piece.

Learn and develop skills, while having fun

All this helps develop your child's hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills. But BeBop Blox also makes learning animals and objects easier. As he forms them using the bricks. And by repeating the name of the item he's creating, both at the beginning, the end, plus whenever he taps on the confetti blowing buttons at the bottom of the screen.

BeBop Blox makes learning more exciting. Of course, it probably won't keep your child mesmerized for ever. But it's a great educational app for a fun afternoon with your child. Plus, it's new, fresh and extremely musical. The down side? The price is a little steep for what it does.
