double-mind-iphone-game-review

You don’t have to be a secret agent to play this code-breaking game. I have personally played its easier, older counterpart, the classic Mastermind game, where you need to guess the combination of differently-colored pebbles in a certain number of tries. Double Mind is a more advanced way to play this. It is based on the Mastermind concept, but adds a second dimension and two more interactive ways to play it.

There are three game modes in Double Mind, but they all follow basically the same concept. Your task is to guess a secret color code, formed out of 9 pebbles, neatly arranged on a 3×3 grid. You start out with the empty grid and you can fill it with pebbles of your choice. Fill the entire board and guess the solution.

The game will let you know of how well you guessed by showing you how many colors are in the right position and how many [...]

It’s Friday, there are just 2 hours until you finish your work day and you realize that you want to do something special today. You try to find out what’s happening tonight in the city and how much it would cost you to attend, but after half an hour of browsing through a ton of sites, you give up. It’s clear, you’re staying home tonight. But what if there was an application that would help you find the best events in your city and giving you the possibility of buying them at the cheapest price without accessing any other site? Well, there’s an app for that: Tickets on the Fly.

After you download the app, all there’s left for you to do is slide through the events shown on the screen and access the one that you are interested in. You can choose to see events that are happening this week, this month or this year. Or, better yet, you can find events by pressing [...]

“Space – the final frontier.” Ah, the famous words of a famous captain of a famous starship. I haven’t yet found a game that will immerse myself in the world of Star Trek, the dark and mysterious atmosphere of space. A game that says infinity is at your finger tips. But what I did find is a game that has the clear potential for it. I would love to say that Project MOS is the game I wanted it to be, but, at the time of this writing, I can only say it will definitely get there in time.

Project MOS is a multiplayer space combat simulator. You’re pitted against other players, all playing in the same scenario, divided into two factions. Obviously, your goal is to survive and kill enemy ships.

When you first start the game, space is indeed the final frontier. Pan around [...]

tattoo-you-ipad-app-review

Alright, I’m at the tattoo parlor. Browsing through the catalog, they all look nice, but how would they look on my body? Why not have this conversation with yourself at home? Simply pick up a free copy of Tattoo You, snap a picture of your hot bod and add tattoos. Stop trying to visualize the end result and actually see yourself wearing ink.

First off, I’d like to say that Tattoo You is designed for both the iPhone and the iPad, but nothing will beat the experience a wider, more comfortable screen the iPad has to offer. I tried the app on both my iPhone and my iPad and ultimately prefer the iPad, although the end result is the same, the better display did it for me.

No matter the device, Tattoo You is darn simple to use. Fire up the app, snap a picture of yourself or load one from the Camera roll and you’re good to go. There’s a bunch of freely available life-like [...]

rabbit-dash-iphone-game-review

It’s fast! It’s white! It’s white! Is it a plane? Is it a bird? No, it’s RabbitDash! Race in this faster-than-fast game in a historic battle between the rabbit and the tortoise. Jump and kick your way through Ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and Switzerland. It’s the race of a life-time.

There are no options to set. No tutorials to learn and no special moves to get used to. Just press play and you’re off. Jump using the lower-left button, kick using the lower-right button. You’re going to be racing on building-tops, so you’ll need to master the art of jumping and double-jumping to get from one roof to another. Don’t fall or it’s game over.

And you know, it wouldn’t hurt to collect items along the way. RabbitDash features a handful of power-ups such as the hear item (one extra life), star item (become invicible), clover item (shrink in size and jump [...]

Rule The Sky…And The Land

While the name itself might be misleading, perhaps making you believe it’s a war game of sorts, Rule The Sky is as peaceful as they come. It’s a social networking game where you build, care and rule your very own floating island in the sky, called Flotia. Me, personally, I’m not too into this type of games that draw you in and suck life out of you. Real life is much more interesting, but that didn’t stop me from going through all of this game’s initial checkpoints, until the waiting really began. Enough said.

The game itself will remind you of FarmVille, since one of you first tasks in the game is to build a farm on your piece of land. You then need to plant seeds on it, fertilize it and, when the crop is ripe, harvest it to gain money and experience.

First let me say that the graphics and sounds are all astounding. The design is pretty incredible. There’s [...]
