What better way to say Happy Birthday than through a song? And not any song, but a personalized one. I know we don’t all have the means, instruments or voices to perform a Happy Birthday song, but luckily there’s an app that can help you. This is Happy Birthday Show, and you can download it today from the AppStore.

Happy Birthday Show is an extremely easy to use app that personalizes the classic Happy Birthday song with the name and message. Just add the birthday boy or birthday girl’s name, your name, write your message or leave the message suggested by the app, and you’re good to go. How easy is that?

Once you’re done with all this, you can listen to the personalized song, and share it with your friend in all kinds of ways. You can share it as a virtual postcard on E-mail, Facebook and Twitter. Or, if you share your device [...]

We’ve played games long before having any iPhone, Playstation or even a computer. From outdoor activities to board games, games have kept us busy for hours, when we were young. And arcade games, of course. I remember having a device that now looks like the PSP’s great, great, great grandfather, that had all these classical arcade games on it. Like Tetris, Snake and those shoot’em up type of games, where you had to move some sort of ship from one end of the screen to the other to shoot at other ships or dots on the screen.

Today, I don’t even know where my old playing device is. But I’m always happy to see all these games coming to life on iPhones, iPads and iPods. So, I was pretty excited to come across Wingbreaker. Because it’s exactly the type of shoot’em all game that I was talking [...]

A couple of years ago, we witnessed what was perhaps one of the most creative ways for an artist to promote his work. Jay-Z in co-operation with Bing have released parts of the artist’s book (an exploration of his life and lyrics) as part of an interactive campaign. Pages of the book were physically placed around the world and it was up to the fans to locate them. It was a very creative combination of technology and the physical world aimed at promoting the artist and his work. Although the AppStore was not a part of this endevour, we’ve seen artists in the past release iPhone apps that would try to combine technology and their work for self promotion. Today, we’re exploring one more such app, from Los Angeles based rock band Warren Charles, through which they aim to promote their new album [...]

WondaGems iPhone App Review.

The AppStore is filled with Bejeweled clones. Some are actually quite good, some not as much, but they all offer the same switch-to-match-three gameplay. Enter WondaGems. While it doesn’t match Bejeweled in its addictiveness and graphics, for hard-core fans of the genre, it will definitely prove to be a delightfull challenge.

How to [...]

iFile Download Manager iPhone App Review.

It’s always hard to keep track of all your files. Because, although all this technological development was meant to smooth things up, sometimes it does just the opposite. And having so many devices only means more files scattered all around the place. You start a project on your laptop, take [...]

The hugely successful Temple Run that had over 170 million fans running in 2011 is now back with its second installment, aptly named Temple Run 2. The new game doesn’t change much in terms of game play, but it brings in vastly improved graphics and new obstacles and abilities that will have you trembling at high speeds.

Temple Run 2 game play doesn’t differ much from the first game. You still have to run as crazy from the giant monkey chasing you (a scarier monkey grant you), dodge obstacles, jump over pits and collect coins and other powerups. Grab as many coins as you can can to advance levels and unlock new characters.

You start the game with a death sentence. You’re going to die eventually. It’s just a matter of when and how. Will the angry ape catch you? Will you slam head first into a wall or take a dive in the sea? Perhaps fire will have the best [...]

Word games are probably one of the most popular board games. I mean, who here hasn’t played Scrabble, at least once in their life? It’s fun, and it’s also a pretty cool brain teaser. The only thing you could complain about, is that a game of Scrabble takes too much time to play from start to finish. Especially when there are only two players involved. But there’s a game that seems to have solved this problem. This is Ruzzle, and you can download it for free from the AppStore.

Ruzzle is a great word game, where you have to find as many words as possible on a board, by swiping your finger across the screen. The only rule is that the letters must be connected to each other. Therefore, you can’t pick a letter from one corner to form a word with a letter from the opposite corner, if there aren’t any connecting letters in-between. Sounds [...]
