Room 8 is Choise and, let me tell you from the start, that you won’t be the only one escaping it. There are no complicated puzzles, but you will get to put to the test your fourth grade knowledge concerning color combinations. And discovering the code to exit room 8 will give you a bit of a headache.

The first thing you will notice is a man lying on the floor. He will be trying to tell you something, but he’s in such a poor shape that telling you what he wants is not an option. So you will have to find a way to ind out what he wants to say.

But first, you’ve got some items to grab: a small key from the man’s pocket, a card from the red, bottom shelf near the door, pen and paper on the desk and a glass cup on the glass table. Don’t waste your time trying to write something on the paper or find a secret door to open with the [...]

As a heads up, in this level, you’ll have to go through 3 different rooms, collect items in each and solve puzzles in two of them. It’s a long level and you don’t have a lot of time to do it. That bomb in your chest is always ready to burst.

Alright, so let’s pick up the things we’ll need from the first room. In the Northwest sandbox, there’s a red item. Pick that up and you get quadrangle candy. The capsule toy on the shelf in the Southwest corner of the room needs to be picked up as well. In the bottom drawer there you’ll also find a hammer. In the desk with the computer, pick up the tweezers and the cutter from the two drawers. That’s all you’ll need right now from this room.

Go to your inventory and separate the red candy into a blue block and the capsule toy into a green block. Next, use the hammer to break open the flickering [...]

Room 6 was the easiest room we’ve been in so far. After you talk to the kid (I hope he gets punched by the end of the game), go to the east wall where there’s a man behind bars. You find out his name is Kevin Bacon (like the actor), he’s a scientist and you’re in his laboratory. You also get a hint that his very fond of cleanliness and hygiene.

Time to pick up the items you’ll need to finish the level. There’s a water displacing spray on the desk, near the mouse. A cup of coffee is near the computer monitor and a screwdriver is in the toolbox on the desk.

The screwdriver is the key in this room. Use it to open the panel in the Northwest corner to get the eye of sight. Open the floor panel near the electrical wiring in the Southwest corner to get the gold key. The same screwdriver will open the panel near the prison bars and the one on [...]

The time when wars were being fought on water or ground is long gone. Now, the fighter must master the sky to win the war. In this world, where the sky is the limit, you can be a cadet of one of the best flight schools. So grab your helmet, choose your plane and show the world that you are the ultimate fighter in Aeronauts: Quake in the Sky.

The goal of the game is to defeat the commander of the opposing team. But, as any respectable authority, he is protected by a large range of fighters. So, if you want to get to the boss, you first have to defeat his minions. And, as you come closer and closer to the final target, the enemy planes become bigger, harder to destroy and they have more bombs prepared to shoot you down. Luckily, if you select the target, you get more powerful, guided missiles, and that will give you a better chance at destroying [...]

Forget about static, motionless graphs to indicate relationships between variables in a function! Start plotting polynomials, trigonometry functions, exponentials squares and saw waves amongst others on your iPad, while taking advantage of the device’s mutitouch interface to pan, zoom and modify variables to see the outcome of your function change on the fly.

If this all sounds like another language to you, then you’re probably not going to need Math Flyer on your iPad. But if you’re a highschool or college student or professor, then Math Flyer is the perfect companion to your dusty old books.

The iPad app will present graphs of functions and mathematical expressions by plotting them on the screen. The user can easily modify the function by adding and removing variables, essentially developing an entirely new function. Additionally, you [...]

Steve Jobs: 1955 – never

This is one piece I would not have thought to write. It seems I thought that the man who defied standards and dogmas, the man who refused to limit his imagination and thinking, I always thought the man would continue to defy his untimely end. He said that if you live your day as it were your last, some day you’ll most certainly be right. And yesterday, he was right.

It’s hard to think that the man who visited PARC and saw the benefits of a graphical interface, the visionary who had a dream of a personal computer in every home, the leader that stood up to Big Brother, left without announcing his last “one more thing.”

I’ve been an Apple user for the past three years, and in this short period of time, my life has been changing for the better every day. It’s hard to imagine that I’ve once designed magazines on anything other than [...]
