Room 5 is named Puzzle and rightly so. At virtually every step you’ll take in this room, there’s going to be a puzzle of sorts waiting for you. First, let’s get the obvious out of the way: collecting the necessary items to get out.

Get the three parts of a rope that you’ll use later. These parts are lying around the room waiting for you. One is in the box in the south-west corner. One is in the mummy’s coffin in the south-east and one is lying on the floor in front of the speakers on the East wall. Next to the box where you found the first piece of the rope, there’s a drawer that will contain a screwdriver. Pick that up as well. The screwdriver and the rock in the middle of the room (which you can pick up as well) are not necessary to exit the room, though.

You can use the screwdriver on the sphinx’s right foot and get the Card [...]

Let’s face it, we’re not children anymore and we’re not getting any younger. Although, it sure would be good if there was a time machine (in a hot tub or not) that would take us back to our childhood. We could enjoy the simple things in life again, like chasing after butterflies, running in the field or throwing a ball around the back years. But imagine what we could do if we could live our childhood in the now, with today’s technology, touchscreen phones, digital puzzles and magical devices. Unfortunately, we can’t do that, but we can make sure our kids can take advantage of all this. And Transport Jigsaw Puzzles 123 is here just for that.

The children game, available for iPhone and iPad, is aimed at kids aged 1 through 6 who enjoy puzzles. It’s created to help the child develop linguistic skills, logical and cognitive skills, concentrate [...]

If you always forget the milk when you go shopping, you clearly need a reminder. And no, Remember the milk is not the only option out there, albeit it might be one of the better known apps for actually remembering things. For a glimpse at an alternative to the native Clocks and Calendar app from iOS (not 5), you should check out Beep Me, or in its full name, Reminders and tasks made easy with Beep Me. Yes, that’s a long name, longer than what we’re used to. Let’s just call it Beep Me for the purpose of this review.

At its core, Beep Me is a quick way to jot down reminders on your iPhone for daily use. It aims to substitute calendar and alarm functions that the iPhone natively provides by successfully putting the two together in one neatly-designed app.

The quickest way to set up and alarm is to open the app, jot down a quick note that will be [...]

Gather ‘round, gather ‘round all you Zuma fans! A new game wants to challenge your aim, dexterity and precision under stress. And that game is Snake Color Hunter. There are no promises that this game will blow your mind or that you’ll even keep it around for more than a day. Snake Color Hunter is the game that you’ll have to decide for yourself if you want it or not.

Just like any Zuma-type game, you need to shoot differently colored balls at similarly colored balls that form the snake. Aim to match three of the same colors to take them out of the snake before the row of balls reach the mouth of the snake.

To aim and shoot, you don’t need to drag the cannon around the board. Just tap anywhere on the screen in order to shoot a ball in that direction. The cannon will autorotate in that direction and release the ball. The catch is that your aim needs to [...]

Turn your iPad in a digital hub for documents of all types. The title is not an overstatement. It’s not me overrating an app or promoting something just because the developer advertised it in the AppStore description. Organidoc HD can really turn your iPad in a digital hub for documents of all types. Albeit lacking document editing features, the iPad app will enable you to carry pretty much every type of document of importance to you, be it a PDF, a MS Word document, a Powerpoint presentation (or its Keynote counterpart), text files, web files, archives, photos and even videos.

It’s really striking how well the app makes use of the available real-estate on the iPad. Every button seems to have a purpose and to have been carefully placed on the screen, resulting in a great user experience. You don’t need an operation manuals to get the hang [...]

Escape The Room 2 Walkthrough Room 4 – Hope

In Room 4, you’ll have to deal with the easiest and most difficult puzzle so far. It’s the easiest because it has to do with some basic Math. It’s the most difficult, because you first have to spot where to use the Math skills. So let’s get going!

As always, let’s first pick up the objects you’ll need to solve the puzzle and escape the room. In two of the lockers located on the south wall you will find a hammer and a die. In a cup, on the desk right near the blackboard, you’ll find a cutter (seems like the cutter is in every room so far, doesn’t it?) and on the blackboard a piece of chalk. This room doesn’t have too many items for you to work with, so after you get that piece of chalk, you’re pretty much done.

If you examine the mirror on the south-east wall, you’ll see that there are some scribbles on it, but nothing you can make out without [...]

Shooting Trolls Is Just As Fun As Shooting Pigs

If you were one of the people that thought that slingshooting birds and pigs was not what a mobile phone was for, then Troll Blaster won’t sit right up your alley either. But even if you were, you undoubtedly changed your mind after you first saw Angry Birds. And I say that because the game seemed silly to me at first as well. It goes the same for Troll Blaster, a physics game in which you need to use whatever weapons you’re given to take out every troll on the map.

If you’ve played Angry Birds, you’re already a master at shooting things at structures. Each level in Troll Blaster will give you a set of weapons, a fixed ammunition for each weapon and trolls and structures to destroy using weapons, intuition and, of course, some physics.

From the get-go, you’ll feel right at home. But what sets Troll Blaster apart from the rest of the competition [...]
